So it’s nearly that time of the year again! Wherever you are in the world, I am sure you have become accustomed to this popular American ‘holiday’.. Well ‘holidays’ known as Black Friday and Cyber Monday!!!
I hope you have your Christmas lists and your credit cards ready because there are tonnns of storees doing the absolute most right now to try to get us to spend all our moneyyyyy.. But issorite!! I believe that as long as you are prepared and have a solid game plan.. You will be alright! (Or at least that’s what I tell myself)
Today I thought I’d start by sharing some tips for shopping in this season. Keep reading for a roundup of some of the best Black friday and Cyber Monday deals to keep an eye out for! Some of these deals start a bit earlier than Black Friday and some go all the way up to Cyber Monday!
Start by making a list of EVERYTHING you would like to get. Include the pre-sale price of these items. You will want to keep it somewhere handy.. On your phone, so that you can easily cross reference before you actually buy anything. Doing this will help you to reduce the impulse to over-buy!
Start early! As I mentioned earlier, some deals start at the beginning of the month. Do your homework by keeping track of the items you want. You may find that prices fluctuate. You may also find something you like for an amazing price! Get it now and avoid the risk of it being sold out on black Friday.
Sign up for black Friday shopping alerts about upcoming deals and promotions. This may sound a bit extra but you can create a separate email for black Friday deals. This will make sure that you don’t miss any important notifications.
The social media pages of your favourite retailer is often a great place to find out about deals and promotions. You can also find coupon codes for additional savings. Now is the time to start following your favourite stores on instagram, facebook or twitter.
If you are shopping online, use EBATES! This should have been tip #1. We have a blog post coming about how to make money shopping online… and you’ll definitely want to read it before you start your Christmas shopping.
Cheaper isn’t always better! That is why it is important to do your homework before going into the store. You want to know the true value of the item you are purchasing. You need to know the difference between something that was $100 and it’s now $30 vs an item that was $40 and is now $25.
