Goodmorning and Happy Monday lovelies ?. Today I thought I would share my Bridal Shower post! My shower was in July, making this post several months late ?. I’ll blame it on the fact that I lost the memory card that had all those pictures during my move and only just found them and got round to sharing.
My bridal shower was an amazing day planned by my mom, sister (co-Azarya contributor) and friends! It was also my leaving party so it was a bitter sweet day and lots of tears were shed ?.
For my shower I knew that I wanted to wear a white dress. I had a mental image of what it would look like but constantly faced disappointment as I was not able to find anything close to my vision. After a day long shopping trip with my mom (complete with the usual mother-daughter bickering), we found this dress right as we were about to go home. It wasn’t my size so we asked the sales associate if she could see if any other stores in Calgary had this dress in my size. We actually drove across town to find this dress before the stores closed! I did think the dress was a bit ‘extra’ or ‘flamboyant’ for a shower but after a pep talk from my mom, I was reminded that It was my day and there is no such thing as ‘extra’ when it comes to that!

The shower was hosted in my parents basement and decorated by mom and sister! I’m still obsessing over the beautiful details and the lengths they took to make it so special! It was more than I could have ever imagined!
We played lots of fun games including bride and groom trivia and this newspaper game, where girls had to make wedding dresses out of newspaper!!
I got lots of great advice from the aunties in the room!
Overall, it was an amazing day that I will cherish forever!!
